This is my father, Geoff.  When we discussed this commission, he said it was up to me to ultimately decide on composition and pose.  The work was started at the end of 2020 so I couldn't paint him from life unfortunately, but a distanced photoshoot was enough for me to work from. One image I managed to capture was this wonderfully complex, bemused expression that he's given me my whole life. To me it sort of says "Just get on with it you daft bugger".
