I've been painting and drawing portraits professionally for over 5 years now. I'm very much drawn to capturing a character and/or a moment in my work.

I take approximately 10 commissions a year. I start by getting to know my subject in person. Spending time with them is so important to be able to get a sense of personality and to be able to see them more completely than in a photograph. I use this opportunity to make some sketches and notes, and take reference photos that I can use back in my studio. My work sits in homes all over the world, and most prominently, in the Houses of Parliment.
